Our new rose gold jewelry is made from recycled 14k rose gold and 14k rose gold vermeil over recycled sterling silver. All rings are solid rose gold. Necklaces, earrings, and cuff bracelets are vermeil.
Vermeil is pronounced ver-may and rhymes with "all day" as in you'll want to wear these pieces all day, every day! The term is French in origin and means gilded silver. It describes the process of electro-depositing gold onto a silver base. The gold layer on vermeil is thicker than gold plated jewelry with at least 2.5 microns of deposit. All of the rainbow moonstones in these iridescent pieces are ethically mined.
All of the Nouveau-modern pieces in this post are part of our Electro collection. Electro was inspired by the juxtaposition of old and new in a Victorian playhouse turned electronic music dance club in downtown San Francisco.
